Writing 39A is a writing course that explores how social construction of gender and beauty shapes society's value over the years. This course specifically look into the changing values of Disney films throughout the course of time. Through this class, students will be more confident in their reading as well as writing skills. To be successful, students are required to be responsible of their work and make sure to spend approximately 12-14 hours weekly to be on track with the course. Students are also expected to reflect on their own work and be able to fix their weaknesses with this course. By participating in this class, students will have an opportunity to receive and give many peer reviews as well as collaborate with others.
